About this space

Tongva Park is a contemporary public park in Santa Monica, within the Los Angeles region. Designed by James Corner Field Operations and opened in 2013, it transforms a former asphalt site into planted hills and winding paths inspired by Southern California’s arroyo landscapes. Four areas—Observation Hill, Discovery Hill, Garden Hill and Gathering Hill—provide settings for overlooking, play, gardens and gathering. The park is located at 1615 Ocean Avenue, near the Santa Monica Pier.
