Huacheng Square forms a major public landscape along the central axis of Zhujiang New Town in Guangzhou. Lawns, flower beds, a lake, boardwalks and fountains connect civic gathering spaces with surrounding cultural buildings, including Guangzhou Library, Guangdong Museum and Guangzhou Opera House. Opened to the public in 2010, the square supports everyday recreation and evening activity in the CBD.
